Miniatura Duca di Buckingam 10,50 x 13,50. Con cornice: 27 x 30 cm.

Superba, imponente bellissima e rarissima grande miniatura inglese del sec. XIX raffigurante il duca di Buckingham in un ritratto reso famoso da Rubens. Non ho decifrato il nome del miniatore, se non la lettera D, ma dalla fattura splendida del ritratto deve trattarsi di un artista di grosso calibro.

Se guardate i dettagli con una lente rimanete davvero stupiti per la precisione dei singoli dettagli.

La cornice è una delle più belle ed elaborate mai viste: mi sono limitato ad un antitarlo e patinatura.

Questa opera è di una bellezza e di una luce incredibile.

Miniature of XIX century: The D uke of Buckingam.

A superb, magnificent and very rare English miniature of XIX century representing the Duke of Buckingam     as he appeared in a famous painting by Rubens. I did’ nt find, the name of the artist, beginning with letter D, but he had to be a very brave ed important one,  by the colours, details and the stroke.

The frame is one of most beautiful I have seen made with three different woods. It is worth the price requested.

It’s a real work of art, with an incredible light.
