Antico borsellino o borsetta da sera francese in argento lavorato e maglia d’ argento, con un raro doppio vano per tenere monete diverse od oggetti diversi. Proviene da Parigi ed è stato datato tra il 1880 ed il 1990 in quanto quel tipo di decorazione è anteriore al secolo ventesimo.

Oggetto bello, raro ed in buonissimo stato di conservazione nonostante l’ età, misura cm. 6  x  4,5.

Gran fornello da tavola di Christofle degli anni 20 con scalda cibi.

Un pezzo davvero molto raro e ricercato del più famoso argentiere parigino degli anni 20: CHRISTOFLE, l’ inventore di una lega d’ argento non marchiata e riconoscibile con il proprio marchio e nome.

Il set è composto da tre pezzi: un vassoio da sotto fornello, un fornello ad alcool con stoppino, ed un gran piatto con scaldavivande entro il quale si inseriva acqua calda, mantenendo la temperatura bollente con la fiamma.

Condizioni molto buone, nonostante l’ età e l’ uso, come si vede dalle foto.

A table stove by Christofle from the Twenties with a dish warmer by water.

A very unusual and rare piece realized by Christofle, the most famous silversmith of Paris in the Twenties, author of a silver league sealed only with his prestigious name.

The set consist of three pieces: a tray under stove - as a base of unit; the unit with the stove, working by alcohol, and a great dish with the warmer: you pour some water inside and  light the stove: the flame maintains the  right temperature for warming food in the dish.

Very good condition, considering age and use, as you can see on the pictures.

Its signed Christofle and marked with the Twenties mark, and numbered too.

Portamonete inglese in argento e coccodrillo marchiato: Londra 1901

Splendido, bellissimo, forse davvero unico questo portamonete inglese in eccellenti condizioni,appartenuto sicuramente ad una gran lady, realizzato in bellissimo coccodrillo, cuoio all’ interno e tutto fregiato e rifinito in argento 925 datato: Londra 1901!!! Nel interno (foto n. 5) è appena leggibile il nome e l’indirizzo della proprietaria,  scritto nel cuoio come sicurezza in caso di furto o smarrimento.

Le foto parlano da sole sullo stato di questo oggetto del 1901, in materiali davvero pregiati e che ritengo si possa definire unico nel suo genere, almeno nelle attuali condizioni.

It’s splendid, important, rare and probably a unique one this English wallet in excellent condition, surely belonged to a noble lady and realized in crocodile’s leather and all decorated with worked sterling silver with marks of London 1901.

Inside, (picture n 5 ) you can read the name and address of the owner, written in the leather, as a security form for the event of loss or thelft.

Pictures are very eloquent on condition of this object dating 1901, realized in noble materials and well defined unique  in its kind!

Salsiera della linea Gallia prodotta dall’ argenteria Christofle negli anni 20/30

Una bellissima ed introvabile salsiera della famosissima linea GALLIA prodotta a Parigi da CHRISTOFLE  negli anni 20/30., debitamente marchiata e numerata.. Gallia è stata la prima e più importante linea della grande casa di argenteria francese che con Gallia creò la prima lega di argento personale (e segreta)svincolata dal titolo dell’ argento (fino allora l’ argento aveva titoli: 800 se Europeo, 925 se inglese od americano, 84 se russo e per legge internazionale non poteva definirsi argento alcuna lega al di fui ori di quei titoli. Gallia nacque alla fine dell’ ottocento e lan sua produzione durò fino agli anni trenta.

Come esempio di un grande stile diverso ed innovativo questa salsiera ha una forma rotonda che è saldamente ancorata ad un piatto fisso con base ottagonale.

Pesa 580 grammi, è alta 7 c. Il diametro della base ottagonale è di 17 cm, mentre quello della salsiera è di 14 cm.

Gallia was the first important line of Christofle in which the great French silversmith created a personal league of silver not ever anchored to traditional titles of silver (800 in Europe. 925 in England, 84 in Russia). Gallia line started at the end of XIX century and lasted until Thirties age.

Sauce boat, in a round shape, lays over an octagonal plate with a particular effect of great design.

It weighs 580 grams and it’s tall 7 cm. The diameter of the base is cm. 17,; diameter of the sauce-boat is 14 cm. Excellent condition

Un’ importante zuccheriera d’ argento punzonata, e firmata con le iniziali dell’ autore, realizzata nel pieno periodo liberty (anni 20/30) da un argentiere italiano. Lo stile riprende il perlè della fine del 1700 inglese.

Fattura sobria ed elegante, con delicate incisioni che formano righe larghe  che ricoprono interamente l’ esterno su entrambi i lati.

In condizioni molto buone anche se usato  poco, reca  le iniziali RGS..
